Qualifying Highlights

WET TRACK

Alwyn Bishop on pole in the #48 Duster!!!

It was great to see Mark Botwell back on track with Australian Trans-Am in the #13 Firebird. Also, Gareth Jones in #66 and Leonard Balme #98 also back after a break.

Race One Highlights

WET TRACK

Tricky conditions again in Race One with rain continuing to fall. Hudson got the jump off the start taking the lead from the Bishop's Duster and held on to take the win.

Tenkate unable to keep the #69 Mustang on the track having an excursion at 3 making it out to come home 3rd.

Peter Schulte wasn't as fortunate in the #6 Javelin. A spin at turn 5 on lap 7 resulted in the safety car being called and remaining til the end of the race.

Prefontaine did well to move up a place to 5th outright and was the 1st 5 Litre car to the line.

Sean English finally having some luck with the #10 Mustang coming in 7th. Great to see him get a race under his belt after a tough first half of the championship

Race Two Highlights

WET TRACK

Race Two began with the track still wet but thankfully, the rain was easing.

All drivers took it very easy in the tough conditions for Race Two. Hudson, again too strong in the #52 Mustang running away to take win number two of the weekend, with Bishop having another solid run in the #48 Duster to take 2nd.

The big mover in Race 2 was Mark Bowtell taking several spots to finish in 8th behind the English’s Mustang. Schulte had a better run bringing the Javelin home in 10th.

It was a tough race for the #565. Crossley in a spin on lap 6 resulted in a safety car for the remainder of the race.

Race Three Highlights

DRY TRACK

Hudson continued his Round 3 form leading the race from start to finsh. Tenkate made his way past Bishop to come in 2nd with Bishop taking 3rd.

The good run continued for English, crossing the line in 5th place followed by Ron Prefontaine.

Tough race for Crossley, Jones and Botwell. All three did not make it to the end of the race.

Race Four Highlights

DRY TRACK

Hudson again lead start to finish. Although there was an early attempt by Tenkate to take the top spot, Tenkate struggled to get the #69 Mustang through T1 with several lockups.

Great to see Fleming back in his Mustang! Gareth Jones also rejoining after his previous race DNF.

Race Five Highlights

DRY TRACK

After a half race-long battle with the theHudson’s #52, Tenkate secured the win in Race 5.

A huge battle in the 5 Litre class with Prefontaine taking the class win.
